Call for Pitches: Helen and Her Eidolon

François-André Vincent, “Zeuxis Choosing Models from the Beautiful Women of Croton” (1789)

To commemorate the one-year anniversary of the launch of Eidolon, we’re happy to announce a week-long interdisciplinary “issue” of the journal in collaboration with the Center for Hellenic Studies’ Classical Inquiries blog. The topic for the issue is “Helen and Her Eidolon.”

We welcome any and all pitches for contributions exploring or reinterpreting the image of Helen. Contributions may take the form of scholarship, art, or creative writing. Contributors may also translate and/or illustrate passages from literature about Helen.

Those interested in contributing should send pitches to eidolon@paideia-institute.org by no later than March 21, 2016.
